This piece is part of my Aghani Banat*/ Daloka* Series which is in celebration of Sudanese women who through telling their stories, tell our collective stories too.
 
*Aghani Banat.. literally translates to "Girls Songs".
 
*Daloka is a Sudanese drum used by women.
