This piece is part of my Aghani Banat*/ Daloka* Series which is in celebration of Sudanese women who through telling their stories, tell our collective stories too.
 
*Aghani Banat.. literally translates to "Girls Songs".
 
*Daloka is a Sudanese drum used by women.

My Ceramics are hand-built, hand-painted, one-off pieces that can be used for decoration or as functional items, as well. This plate is NOT food safe. It is unglazed and can be used for decoration or dry items like accessories.
